Blue Apatite With Canard Patrie Stack Medallion Necklace
Medallion History: Canard was created for the Canard-Duchene Champagne House which was founded in 1868 by Victor Canard and Leonie Duchene and was based in Ludes, France. The medallion features a double-headed eagle, one of the oldest Indo-European symbols established during the great empires and feudal fragmentation.
Patrie was created in 1920 by the French government, The Me'daille d' Honneur de la Famille Francaise was awarded to mothers of large families. To qualify, a mother must have raised a minimum of four children "well" and the eldest must be at least 16 years old.
