Medallion History: Gustave-created for a French broadcasting and manufacturing company founded in 1918. Named after Gustave Ferrie, the wireless radio pioneer whose idea was to place an antennae on the Eiffel Tower. This placement increased the company's transmittal range from 250 miles to 3700 miles.
